Day 1
TO VALKENBURG
Following our Channel crossing to Calais, we make our way to Valkenburg where we stay for the next four nights. (D)
Day 2
AACHEN
We'll cross the border into Germany and visit the charming spa city of Aachen with free time to explore at leisure. The famous Christmas market is set in the square around the cathedral and the town hall and is transformed into a paradise of lights and colours. (B, D)
Day 3
VALKENBURG
Make the most of a day at leisure to explore the Christmas markets in Valkenburg. There are two markets to visit - The Velvet Cave, the smaller of the two and the Municipal Cave which is the largest and oldest underground Christmas market in Europe. (B, D)
Day 4
MAASTRICHT
Enjoy an excursion to the city of Maastricht, one of the oldest in the Netherlands. During the Christmas market time Vrijthof Square is the centre of the action with many stalls to explore as well as a Ferris wheel and ice skating rink. (B, D)
Day 5
FROM VALKENBURG
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
