Summertime in the Austrian Tyrol

Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following the Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)

Day 2

OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO MAYRHOFEN
We complete the journey to our resort where we stay for the next five nights. (B, D)

Day 3

INNSBRUCK & SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL WORLDS
Today we visit Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol. The old town of Innsbruck is pretty and full of cultural and historical attractions including the Golden Roof. On our way back to Mayrhofen we visit Swarovski Kristalwelten (Crystal Worlds), a unique attraction that combines art, nature and crystal magic. (B, D)

Day 4

ACHENSEEBAHN & CRUISE ON ACHENSEE
Today we enjoy a relaxing journey on Europe's oldest steam powered cogwheel railway from Jenbach through the Inn Valley to reach the turquoise blue Achensee where we take a relaxing cruise on the largest lake in the Tyrol. It is known for its clear waters and the stunning alpine scenery. We return to Jenbach once more by the cogwheel railway. (B, D)

Day 5

FREE DAY
Enjoy a day at leisure in Mayrhofen. Why not take the cable car from next to the hotel and enjoy the mountain views. (B, D)

Day 6

KUFSTEIN & KUFSTEIN FORTRESS
Today we make our way to Kufstein, the second largest town in the Tyrol after Innsbruck. Here we visit Kufstein Fortress which was first mentioned in a document from the year 1205. It was the scene of many military conflicts and was fiercely disputed between Bavaria and Tyrol. (B, D)

Day 7

MAYRHOFEN TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B, D)

Day 8

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
