SPARKLING WEEKEND IN CHAMPAGNE NEW TOUR 2025

The city of Reims has a special place in the history of France, not just as the home of Champagne, although this is obviously their most famous export! On our new weekend break we’ll visit two of the most famous cellars, Champagne Mumm and Champagne Mercier, enjoy a tour of Reims and spend time in Epernay.

Day 1

TO REIMS
Following the Channel crossing to Calais, we make our way to Reims where we stay for the next three nights on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. (D)

Day 2

REIMS GUIDED TOUR & CHAMPAGNE MUMM
We start the day with a guided walking tour of Reims. The main attraction to see is the Notre Dame Cathedral, bigger than its namesake in Paris and home to where the Kings of France were crowned for over 1,000 years. After some free time to explore at leisure we enjoy a visit to Champagne Mumm for a guided tour through their cellars along with a tasting of champagne. (B, D)

Day 3

CHAMPAGNE ROUTE, EPERNAY & CHAMPAGNE MERCIER
Today we follow the 'Champagne Route' and head out of Reims to Epernay. After a short stop in Hautvilliers, a village famous as the birthplace of Dom Perignon we arrive in Epernay where we have some free time. In the afternoon we visit the Avenue du Champagne, lined with impressive Champagne houses. We will enjoy a guided tour of Champagne Mercure by train through their cellars followed by a tasting. Day 4

FROM REIMS
We travel to Calais for the return channel crossing and complete the journey home. (B)
