The A-ROSA VIVA is an international ship with an international Cruise Director and all announcements in English and German.

Day 1

TO PARIS
Following our Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey Paris where we embark the A-ROSA VIVA our home for the next 5 nights. We depart this evening and sail through the night. (D)

Day 2

ROUEN
Most of today is spent cruising along the River Seine until in mid afternoon we arrive in Normandy's capital Rouen which lies 75 miles from the Seine estuary. The rest of the day here is spent at leisure and we remain moored here overnight. Perhaps take a visit to the city's impressive Botanical Gardens or Museum of Fine Art. (B,D)

Day 3

ROUEN
Enjoy a full day to explore Rouen at leisure. Its Old Town is a delightful maze of narrow cobblestone streets, lined with find half-timbered houses and wonderful gothic churches including the magnificent Cathedrale Notre Dame. Rouen's Place du Vieux-Marche is famous as the site where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake in 1431. This evening we start cruising the River Seine once more, travelling to the Seine estuary. Day 4

VERNON
This morning we arrive in the pleasant town of Vernon. Close by is Claude Monet's house and garden in the pretty village of Giverny which you may choose to visit on an optional excursion (cost not included). The lush garden looks like a meadow of flowers straight out of an impressionist painting. This evening we commence our journey back to Paris. (B, L, D)

Day 5

PARIS
Enjoy a day at leisure in Paris for sightseeing as the city is within easy reach of our mooring point. Why not visit its most famous landmark, the Eiffel Tower, Sacre Coeur or the Louvre Museum or simply take in the sights as you stroll along the charming boulevards. A range of optional tours are also available. (B,L,D)

Day 6

FROM PARIS
After disembarking we travel to Calais for the return sea crossing and complete the journey home. (B)

Please note this cruise is operated by A-ROSA. All sailing times are approximate and can be subject to change. On certain cruises, it may be necessary to sail throughout the night, details of which will be shown on your final itinerary where applicable. Cruise ports of call are generally situated in central locations of the cities or resorts that we are visiting. However, we cannot guarantee that the resort/city centres are within suitable walking distances from where the ship docks. River cruise routes could be subject to change due to local weather, traffic, flooding, high and low water levels, lock closures, road works and other unforeseen circumstances. A-ROSA and the ship's captain reserve the right to modify the cruising itinerary to ensure the safe navigation of the vessel.

The on-board currency is Euro. During the trip, use your cabin card as your own credit card. At the end of the journey you can pay your final account in cash, with EC card or with the following credit cards: MasterCard, VISA, American Express. When paying by credit card or EC/Maestro card, you will need your PIN code. Please make sure that you have your personal PIN code with you. The booking of shore excursions will be billed to your cabin account.
