Rudesheim & Majestic Rhine Valley

Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following the Channel crossing to Calais we make our way to our overnight hotel in Belgium. (D)

Day 2

TO RÜDESHEIM VIA AHRWEILER
We depart this morning and cross into Germany stopping in Ahrweiler for a short break including a wine tasting before we continue our journey to R?desheim where we stay for the next four nights. (B, D)

Day 3

RHINE CRUISE & FREE TIME IN RÜDESHEIM
This morning enjoy a cruise on the majestic River Rhine to Bacharach and take in the charming scenery as you sail by. After some free time here you'll board the cruise again back to bustling Rudesheim where the rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore at leisure. Here you will find historic half-timbered houses and the Drosselgasse in the heart of the old town is a magnet for tourists. (B,D)

Day 4

KOBLENZ & LORELEI VIEWPOINT
Excursion to the historic city of Koblenz which lies at the famous Deutsches Eck or German Corner where the Rhine and Moselle rivers converge. Top attractions here include the Old Town, the Guart House which dates back to 1689 and the Schängel fountain which stands at the courtyard of the Town Hall. En route we'll make a stop at the Lorelei Viewpoint to take in an unforgettable view of the legendary Lorelei rock on the opposite side. (B, D)

Day 5

MAINZ
Visit to Mainz whose skyline has been dominated by Mainz Cathedral for over 1000 years. Surrounding the cathedral are the medieval districts of Mainz with narrow alleyways filled with small shops and cafés which surround the pretty Kirschgarten Square. (B, D)

Day 6

FROM RÜDESHEIM
We travel to Calais for the return Channel crossing and complete the journey home. (B)
