On our new Christmas market break as well as enjoying a day at the market in Reims, we’ll visit Epernay and enjoy a tour and tasting at Champagne Mercier.

Day 1
TO REIMS
Following the Channel crossing to Calais, we make our way to Reims where we stay for the next three nights on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2
REIMS CHRISTMAS MARKET
Spend the day exploring the Christmas Market in Reims, the 3rd largest in France. Set against the backdrop of magnificent Reims Cathedral it features 150 wooden chalets selling regional specialities, crafts, gift ideas and delicacies. (B)
Day 3
CHAMPAGNE ROUTE, EPERNAY & CHAMPAGNE MERCIER
Today we follow the 'Champagne Route' and head out of Reims to Epernay. After a short stop in Hautvilliers, a village famous as the birthplace of Dom Perignon we arrive in Epernay where we have some free time. In the afternoon we visit the Avenue du Champagne, lined with impressive Champagne houses. We will enjoy a guided tour of Champagne Mercure by train through their cellars followed by a tasting. (B)

FROM REIMS
We travel to Calais for the return channel crossing and complete the journey home. (B)
