Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following our Channel crossing to Calais, we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)

Day 2

OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO LAKE MAGGIORE
Complete the journey to your chosen resort followed by dinner and welcome glass of spumante on arrival. (B,D)

Day 3

BORROMEAN ISLANDS
Enjoy a leisurely day as we visit the stunning Borromean Islands, located just offshore from the centre of Stresa. We take the boat out to Isola Bella where we visit the beautiful Palazzo Borromeo and its elegant gardens before continuing to Isola dei Pescatori or Fisherman's Island. (B, D)

Day 4

LAKE ORTA
Today we explore Lake Ora, one of northern Italy's best kept secrets. Its capital, Orta San Giulio has a delightful medieval centre full of cobbled streets, galleries, local crafts and cafés. (B, D)

Day 5

LAKE MAGGIORE EXPRESS
Enjoy a wonderful full day excursion with a scenic journey on the magical Lake Maggiore Express by rail and boat taking in the beauty of the region along the way. We start with a rail journey from Stresa to Domodossola, at which point we change to the Centovalli scenic high level which takes us through the mountains to Locarno, a bustling town on the Swiss shores of Lake Maggiore. After some free time here we take a boat ride back to Stresa. (B, D)

Day 6

THREE LAKES TOUR
Enjoy a day of touring as we first head up the scenic west coast of Lake Maggiore and have a short stop in Locarno just over the Swiss border before continuing on to the stylish city of Lugano on with free time to explore. From here we cross back into Italy and arrive on Lake Como with a break in Como itself before returning to Stresa. (B, D)

Day 7

LAKE MAGGIORE TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnights dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B,D)

Day 8

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
