Built in 1896 the Hotel Paxmontana, our home on this wonderful new holiday, is an architectural masterpiece that sits on a plateau with magnificent views on to Land Sarnen and the surrounding mountains. It is the perfect base from which to explore nearby Lake Lucerne, the wonderful Brünig Pass and the Bernese Oberland region.

Day 1
TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following our Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)
Day 2
OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO FLÜELI-RANFT
We complete the journey to our resort in time for dinner. (B, D)
Day 3
SARNEN
Enjoy a morning at leisure to relax in the hotel. This afternoon take a short drive down to the village of Sarnen and its nearby lake. (B, D)
Day 4
LAKE LUCERNE
Today we take a scenic drive around Lake Lucerne. The shore is peppered with a succession of pretty towns and villages and is surrounded by imposing Alpine peaks. (B,D)
Day 5
BERNESE OBERLAND
We journey via the Brünig Pass into the fabulous Bernese Oberland to Interlaken where you will find a charming old town and shopping promenade full of Swiss charm. After some free time here we continue on to Grindlewald at the foot of the Eiger. It is a pretty village with traditional wooden houses set against a backdrop of the Swiss Alps. (B,D)
Day 6
LUCERNE & LAKE CRUISE
Enjoy a full day excursion to the city of Lucerne with its beautiful old town, Lion Monument and iconic Chapel Bridge. We also include a relaxing boat cruise on Lake Lucerne. (B,D)
Day 7
FLÜELI-RANFT TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B,D)
Day 8
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
