Day 1
DAY 1 TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following the Channel crossing to Calais and complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed & breakfast accommodation. (D)
Day 2
DAY 2 OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO ROSES
We complete the journey to our resort and enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, followed by dinner. (B,D)
Day 3
ROSES EXPRESS LAND TRAIN
Spend the morning at leisure. In the afternoon we hop aboard the Roses Express land train and rumble through the town, then into the serene mountain landscape of Cap de Creus Nature Park - a natural wonder with soaring cliffs, hidden covers and tiny islets. (B,D)
Day 4
LITTLE YELLOW TRAIN & FRENCH PYRENEES
Today we cross the border into France for a guided tour into the French Pyrenees. In the afternoon it's all aboard the Little Yellow Train at Villefranche where a feast of sightseeing is in store as our carriage climbs upwards, scaling dramatic landscapes to the Pyrenean village of Font Romeau. After time to explore the village we return to our hotel by coach. (B,D)
Day 5
FREE DAY
You will have a day at leisure to explore the resort of Roses, where the mountains meet the sea - here you will find plenty of beaches and lovely coves. (B,D)
Day 6
NÚRIA RACK RAILWAY
After breakfast we meet up with our guide and take a trip on the rack railway up to the Sanctuary of Núria where on arrival, you can enjoy a tasting of the local produce. The breath taking landscape travelled by the railway is unmissable. It is the only way to access Núria's valley and has exceptional features: a rack railway covering a distance of 12.5km over an incline of more than 1000 metres. (B,D)
Day 7
RED TRAIN DU PAYS
Returning to France, we travel to Rivesaltes for a guided tour before boarding the century old Red Train du Pays Cathare et du Fenouilledes. Sit back and relax as you trundle through a land of vines and castles, slowly climbing as you reach the quaint hamlet of Axat where you will have free time to explore. (B,D)
Day 8
FIGUERES
Today we visit the traditional Spanish town of Figueres, one time home of Salvador Dali and where you'll find a charming old town, baroque architecture and pretty squares. Here we include entrance to the Dali Museum. (B,D)
Day 9
ROSES TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B,D )
Day 10
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
