Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following the Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)

Day 2

OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO OBERNDORF
We complete the journey to our resort where we stay for the next five nights. (B, D)

Day 3

RATTENBERG & LAKE ACHENSEE COG RAILWAY
This morning we first visit Rattenberg, the smallest town in Tyrol which has almost completely preserved its medieval townscape. Here we visit one of the showrooms of the Kisslinger glass factory to see the artisans at work. Later we continue to the shores of Lake Achen, and enjoy the spectacular views as we take a ride on the Lake Achensee Cog Railway, a narrow-gauge railway from Jenbach to Seespitz. (B,D)

4. Salzburg

Day 4

ZILLER VALLEY STEAM TRAIN & CHEESE DAIRY
Enjoy a nostalgic journey from Jenbach to Mayrhofen on the Ziller Valley Steam Train, another narrow gauge steam train which made its first journey in 1902. We'll enjoy a little schnapps and some traditional folk music on our journey. Later we'll visit a cheese dairy to learn about the production of traditional Tyrolean cheese and enjoy a small tasting. Please note, the train journey could be operated in reverse.

Day 5

INNSBRUCK & SWAROVSKI CRYSTAL WORLD
This morning we visit Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol where we have a guided tour so you can see the main sights including the historic old town with its legendary Golden Roof, the Hofburg, former imperial residence of the ruling Habsburgs and pretty Maria Thereisenstraße. After some free time we make our way to the magical Swarovski Crystal World and experience the magic of crystal as you step inside the Crystal Dome. (B, D)

Day 6

KRIMML WATERFALLS & PINZGAU NARROW GAUGE RAILWAY
Our excursion today takes us first of all to the breath-taking Krimml Waterfalls, the largest in Europe. Experience up close the force of water as the waterfall drops 380 metres - a most impressive natural spectacle. We continue to Niedernsill where we board the Pinzgau narrow gauge railway for a journey through the high mountain region of the Salzburg Pinzgau to Zell am See offering spectacular vistas. (B,D)

Day 7

OBERNDORF TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B, D)

Day 8

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
