Take to the water and explore Catalonia from a different viewpoint as we take in a coastal cruise to Cadaqués, sail on the Lake of Banyoles, cruise the harbour waters of Barcelona and also cross the border into France to cruise along the famous Canal du Midi on this new holiday to Catalonia, staying in the popular resort of Roses.

Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following the Channel crossing to Calais, we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed & breakfast accommodation. (D)

Day 2

OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO ROSES
We complete the journey to our resort and enjoy a welcome drink on arrival, followed by dinner. (B,D)

Day 3

CADAQUÉS
This morning we enjoy a delightful boat trip from our resort to the fishing village of Cadaqués. We'll explore the village on foot with our English speaking guide before returning to Roses by boat and enjoying the afternoon at leisure. (B,D)

Day 4

CANAL DU MIDI
Today we cross the border into France and departing from Béziers, we enjoy a boat trip accompanied by an English speaking guide on part of the famous Canal du Midi. It is a 240km long canal in southern France which connects the Garonne to the Mediterranean Sea, and as well as taking in the sights, we'll also enjoy an included lunch on board. (B,L,D)

Day 5

FREE DAY
You will have a day at leisure to explore the resort of Roses, where the mountains meet the sea. Here you will find plenty of beaches and lovely coves, or why not take in the spectacular views from the Roses and Cap de Creus Express tourist train. (B,D)

Day 6

BANYOLES AND BESALÚ
This morning we are accompanied by our English speaking guide to the cultural town of Banyoles. It is home to Catalonia's largest natural lake and we'll enjoy a boat trip to take in the scenery. This afternoon we make our way to Besalú, described by some as being one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Spain. (B,D)

Day 7

BARCELONA
No trip to Catalonia would be complete without a visit to the cosmopolitan city of Barcelona. Our English speaking guide will accompany us as we take in the views from the sea, cruising along the coast of Barcelona and the harbour. For thousands of years, the harbour has played an important role in shaping the city. (B,D)

Day 8

FREE DAY
Enjoy another day to relax and explore our resort at leisure. (B,D)

Day 9

ROSES TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B,D )

Day 10

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
