Krakow & Auschwitz

Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL (COLOGNE AREA)
Following the Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)

Day 2

FROM COLOGNE AREA TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL (DRESDEN AREA)
We continue our journey across Germany to the Dresden area where we stay overnight. (B, D)

Day 3

DRESDEN AREA TO KRAKÓW
We complete the journey to Kraków where we stay for the next five nights and meet our Tour Manager which will accompany us during our time here.(B, D)

Day 4

KRAKÓW CITY TOUR
Today we enjoy a city tour of Kraków to take in the main sights of this beautiful city. We will have a guided tour of the Old Town, a visit to the Main Market Square with its Renaissance Cloth Hall and St Mary's Basilica, as well as enjoying some free time at leisure this afternoon. Dinner will be at our hotel this evening. (B, D)

Day 5

WAWEL ROYAL CASTLE & WIELICZKA SALT MILES
This morning we take a guided tour of Wawel Royal Castle, one of the most famous in Poland, it is located high on a hill above the city. Later we make our way to the Wieliczka Salt Mines, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not far out of the centre of the city. Here nearly everything is made of sale from its many chapels to the beautiful chandeliers, statues and other works of art. Dinner will be at our hotel this evening. (B, D)

Day 6

KRAKÓW
Enjoy a full day at leisure to explore Kraków under your own steam. (B, D)

Day 7

AUSCHWITZ, SCHINDLERS FACTORY & KLEZMER HOIS
Today we have a poignant visit to Auschwitz Memorial where it is essential to visit both parts, Auschwitz I and Auschwitz II - Birkenau in order to acquire a proper sense of the place that has become the symbol of the Holocaust of the European Jew as well as Nazi crimes. In the afternoon we visit Oskar Schindlers Enamel Factory, one of the most interesting exhibitions to visit when in Kraków. Your farewell dinner this evening will take place at the famous Klezmer Hois restaurant which serves dishes of traditional Jewish cuisine. (B, D)

Day 8

KRAKÓW to OVERNIGHT HOTEL (DRESDEN AREA)
We depart Kraków and retrace our steps back to our overnight hotel in the Dresden area. (B, D)

Day 9

DRESDEN AREA TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL (COLOGNE AREA)
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B, D)

Day 10

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
