Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We travel to northern England / southern Scotland where we stay overnight. (D)

Day 2

OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO THE ISLE OF SKYE
We continue our journey northwards travelling through Glencoe and the West Highlands and on to the Isle of Skye where we stay overnight. (B, D)

Day 3

THE UISTS
We enjoy a scenic drive across Skye to catch the sailing to Uist - a necklace of islands and islets in the Outer Hebrides, often more water than land, linked together by causeways and bridges. Spend the afternoon exploring the islands with their impressive beaches and coastline before we make our way to our overnight hotel on the Isle of Benbecula. (B, D)

Day 4

THE ISLE OF HARRIS
This morning we take the ferry crossing to Harris, a deep and mountainous island with moorlands, deep lochs and glorious coastline. We'll call in to Harris Distillery for a tasting of one of their local spirits and continue along the spine if the island to Lewis with its history dating back 5000 years. We stay in Stornoway, the island's capital for the next two nights. (B,D)

Day 5

GUIDED TOUR OF LEWIS
We'll be joining a local coach today for a fascinating guided tour of Lewis, with many island stories to be told! During the day we'll visit the 5000 year old standing stones of Callanish, the ancient thatched Black Houses at Gearrannan with entry included and Carloway Broch, a fortified towner dating back over 2000 years. Day 6

ISLE OF LEWIS TO SPEYSIDE
This morning we board the ferry for the 2 ½ hour sailing to Ullapool, then take a scenic drive across the sweep of the Highlands to Speyside where we stay overnight. (B, D)

Day 7

SPEYSIDE TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Leaving Speyside this morning we commence our journey southwards and on to our overnight hotel. (B,D)

Day 8

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart this morning and complete the journey home. (B)
