France - Parisian Chateaux & Gardens

Day 1

TO SACLAY
Following the Channel crossing to Calais and complete the journey to Saclay near Paris for our four nights stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis. (D)

Day 2

CHÂTEAU DE VERSAILLES
This morning we visit the Palace and Gardens of Versailles where we have a guided tour. The chateau is considered to be one of the most magnificent achievements of 18th century architecture and design. Later there will be free time to discover the charming town of Versailles. (B,D)

Day 3

RIVER SEINE CRUISE & CHÂTEAU DE VAUX-LE-VICOMTE
This morning we travel into Paris and enjoy a relaxing one hour cruise on the River Seine before returning to the hotel for lunch. Later we visit beautiful Château de Vaux-Le-Vicomte and explore the magical estate by the flickering lights of 2,000 candles and an illumination display to end the night - a truly breath-taking experience! (B,L)
Please note dinner can be taken in the self-service restaurant during the evening (cost not included).

Day 4

MONET'S GARDEN & VERNON
After an early breakfast we travel to Monet's country retreat in Giverny where we visit the impressionist painters charming pink house and iconic gardens where you can admire the Japanese bridge and famous waterlily pond. We then make our way to the pretty village of Vernon with over 200 half-timbered houses with ancient doors, carved timbers and wrought iron shop signs. (B,D)

Day 5

FROM SACLAY
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
