Day 1
Depart South Wales in the morning travelling north to the Winnock Hotel in Drymen, Nr Loch Lomond. A 3 course dinner will be served this evening followed by live music from our resident singer Des.

A day to gather your senses and surroundings with a day at leisure
Day 3
Christmas Eve! Following breakfast we make our way to the Scottish Capital 'Edinburgh'. From its frosted spires to its festive streets, Edinburgh transforms itself for six weeks of Christmas celebrations. Enjoy the outdoor ice rink or taste whisky flavoured fudge at the Highland markets. Explore the German markets that have Glühwein and Wursts of all shapes and sizes or just browse the many shops and attractions that this truly wonderful city has to offer.
We will return back to our hotel in time for afternoon tea with a selection of pastries. Enjoy a 3 course dinner this evening. For those of you who want to go to the local church service for Midnight Carols, please ask at reception for details on local church services. After the Midnight Carol service, Mulled wine and Mince Pies will be served.
Day 4
Christmas Day! "Merry Christmas Everyone" Breakfast will be served at leisure. Enjoy a relaxed morning followed by Traditional Christmas lunch served at 12.30pm with Carol Singers and a visit from Santa! Join us at 3:00pm for the annual Queens speech where tea, coffee & Christmas cake will be served. A buffet dinner will be served this evening. After dinner stay and enjoy a festive quiz.
Day 5
Boxing Day! Following your full Scottish breakfast, we make our way to Stirling, where you may wish to visit the Old Town and historic castle, overlooking the site of 'Braveheart' Sir William Wallace's greatest victory. Stirling's Old Town with its bustling city centre boasts the finest concentration of historic buildings in Scotland. Beautifully preserved medieval and Renaissance churches and mansions cluster around the Old Town, flanked by cobbled streets, period street furniture and Victorian styled iron work. We return to the Winnock Hotel in time for afternoon tea and pastries with dainty sandwiches. Dinner will be served with a traditional Scottish ceilidh, with bagpipes and dancing!
Day 6
After a hearty breakfast & Scottish hot toddy, we bid you a fond farewell from the Winnock Hotel and make the return journey back home to South Wales. Comfort and refreshment stops will be taken en route when your driver can give you an accurate time of arrival if you are to be met by friends or relatives.
