Aachen, Monschau & Cologne

Day 1

TO HÜRTGENWALD-VOSSENACK
Following the Channel crossing to Calais we make our way to Dusseldorf where we stay for the next four nights. (D)

Day 2

AACHEN
Excursion to the historic city of Aachen which boasts a beautiful old town, spectacular Aachen Cathedral and healing waters thanks for the thermal springs. Don't forget to try the famous Aachener Printen cookies, a delicious gingerbread treat. (B, D)

Day 3

COLOGNE
Excursion to the city of Cologne. As you admire the attractive squares in the historic centre of the city remember that three quarters of Cologne was destroyed in the war. Today it is a vibrant city where tradition remains alive and boasts a great arts and culture scene. (B, D)

Day 4

MONSCHAU
Explore the pretty town of Monschau where you will find half-timbered houses and cobblestoned streets alongside the banks of the River Rur. (B, D)

Day 5

FROM HÜRTGENWALD-VOSSENACK
We travel to Calais for the return Channel crossing and complete the journey home. (B)
