Aachen, Monschau & Cologne Christmas Markets
Our new tour staying at a charming family run hotel in the Eifel region of Germany visits the Christmas markets in Aachen and Cologne, beneath the largest Christmas tree in the Rhineland as well as the smaller market in the pretty town of Monschau.
Note: All tours are guaranteed to visit at least one Christmas Market. Unfortunately not all opening dates are confirmed by the time we go to press.

Day 1
TO HÜRTGENWALD-VOSSENACK
Following the Channel crossing to Calais we make our way to Dusseldorf where we stay for the next three nights.
Day 2
AACHEN CHRISTMAS MARKET
Today we visit the city of Aachen, famed for its cathedral and cookies where you will find one of the most popular Christmas markets in the country. Don't forget to try the famous Aachener Printen cookies, a delicious gingerbread treat. (B)
Day 3
COLOGNE CHRISTMAS MARKET
Excursion to the city of Cologne which offers a total of seven Christmas Markets. Among them the Christmas market at near Cologne Cathedral is the most impressive one due to the huge backdrop of the imposing Cathedral. (B)
Day 4
MONSCHAU CHRISTMAS MARKET
Explore the small Christmas market in the pretty town of Monschau where you will find half-timbered houses alongside the banks of the River Rur. Monschau is billed not just as a Christmas market but as an entire Christmas village. (B)
Day 5
FROM HÜRTGENWALD-VOSSENACK
We travel to Calais for the return Channel crossing and complete the journey home. (B)
