Day 1
TO EPEN
Following our Channel crossing to Calais, we make our way to Epen where we stay for the next four nights.
Day 2
AACHEN CHRISTMAS MARKET
We'll cross the border into Germany and visit the charming spa city of Aachen with free time to explore at leisure. The famous Christmas market is set in the square around the cathedral and the town hall and is transformed into a paradise of lights and colours.
Day 3
VALKENBURG CHRISTMAS MARKET
After a morning at leisure we include lunch at the hotel before we make our way to Valkenburg where you can spend the afternoon and early evening exploring the Christmas markets.. There are two markets to visit in Valkenburg - The Velvet Cave, the smaller of the two and the Municipal Cave which is the largest and oldest underground Christmas market in Europe. (NO DINNER at Hotel tonight)
Day 4
MAASTRICHT
Enjoy an excursion to the city of Maastricht, one of the oldest in the Netherlands. During the Christmas market time Vrijthof Square is the centre of the action with many stalls to explore as well as a Ferris wheel and ice skating rink.
NB The Christmas Market is not open for the November departure
Day 5
FROM EPEN
Return via Calais and complete the journey home.
