Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We travel to southern Scotland where we stay overnight. (D)

Day 2

OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO THE ISLE OF SKYE
We continue our journey north into the Highlands where we stay for the next four nights. (D)

Day 3

SLEAT PENINSULA & ARMADALE CASTLE GARDENS
Today we explore the Sleat peninsula at the south of the island offering views to the Isles of Eigg and Rhum. Here we visit the magnificent gardens of Armadale Castle where you will find a surprising number of exotic varieties which thrive in the mild microclimate. The castle itself is now a ruin but sits in a dramatic position overlooking the Sound of Sleat. (B, D)

Day 4

DUNVEGAN CASTLE & GARDENS & PORTREE
This morning we make our way to the 'north end' of Skye to visit Dunvegan Castle, the ancestral seat of the Clan MacLeod. It is one of the greatest Hebridean castles and the only one to have been continuously occupied by the same family for 800 years. It boasts 5 acres of formal gardens whare are in stark contrast to the barren moorlands that dominate the landscape of Skye. Later we visit the island's 'capital' Portree overlooking a sheltered bay and surrounded by hills. Portree is only about 200 years old and was created as a fishing village at the beginning of the 19th century. (B, D)


Day 5

BROADFORD
Enjoy a relaxing day at leisure in Broadford, the second largest settlement on the Isle of Skye. (B, D)

Day 6

THE ISLE OF SKYE TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart the Isle of Skye and after arriving on the mainland, commence our journey to our final overnight hotel. (B, D)

Day 7

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart this morning and complete the journey home. (B)
