The Glorious Lake District on the Red Dragon

Day 1

We depart local pick ups and travel to the Lake District to our hotel.

Days 2 - 4

At leisure in your resort plus we include the following excursions:
1. Lake Windermere & Southern Lakes
2. Ullswater & Northern Lakes
3. Bassenthwaite & Lakes Distillery Tour

Day 5

We depart after breakfast and travel back home to South Wales making suitable comfort stops en route.

Excursion 1

LAKE WINDERMERE & SOUTHERN LAKES
Enjoy a scenic drive around the southern Lakes. We first join the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway for a single journey through the scenic Leven Valley to Lake Windermere. From here we make our way to famous Holker Hall and Gardens, regarded as one of the best stately homes in Britain.

Excursion 2

ULLSWATER & NORTHERN LAKES
Enjoy a full day scenic tour travelling over the Kirkstone Pass - the highest road in the Lake District to Glenridding. Here we board Ullswater Steamers for a one hour circular cruise on beautiful Lake Ullswater before continuing on to Keswick where we enjoy some free time. We return to our hotel via the charming village of Grasmere.

Excursion 3

BASSENTHWAITE & LAKES DISTILLERY TOUR
Excursion to Lake Bassenthwaite, with a tour and tasting at the highly acclaimed Lakes Distillery, producers of world class English whisky, gin and vodka.
