The beautiful county of Suffolk has a remarkable collection of picturesque, charming villages which have attracted artists and writers over the years. We’ll visit historic Bury St Edmunds, the villages of Lavenham and Long Melford as well as imposing Melford Hall.

Excursion 1

BURY ST EDMUNDS
Excursion to Bury St Edmunds, the home of Saint Edmund, the original patron Saint of England it has over 1,000 years of history and heritage. It is known as Suffolk's foodie town and also offers a great mix of fantastic independent and High Street stores.

Excursion 2

LAVENHAM, LONG MELFORD & MELFORD HALL
Visit to Lavenham, considered to be the best preserved medieval village in Britain before continuing to Long Melford, another quintessentially English village which boasts an eclectic main street full of independent shops, galleries and tea rooms. Later we visit Melford Hall, an imposing red-brick mansion in the Suffolk countryside.



SOUTHWOLD & ALDEBURGH
Enjoy a scenic drive to the beautiful seaside town of Southwold on the Suffolk Heritage Coast, an elegant town with an award-winning pier and wonderful sandy beach. From here we visit Aldeburgh further south along the coast where along with the beach you will find a fine high street with independent boutiques, cafés and restaurants.

LAVENHAM & LONG MELFORD
Lavenham is considered to be the best preserved medieval village in Britain with timber frames buildings lining the narrow streets and lanes - over 300 of which are listed of being of historical interest. We also visit Long Melford, another quintessentially English village which boasts an eclectic main street full of independent shops, galleries and tea rooms.

We depart local pick ups and travel to our hotel for 4 night's dinner bed & breakfast.
