The A-ROSA AQUA offers the ultimate in comfort and luxury for guests to take in the passing scenery. There are 99 outside cabins with a maximum of 202 passengers on four decks. It is an international ship with an international Cruise Director and all announcements are also made in English.

Following our Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO COLOGNE
We continue our journey where we embark the A-ROSA AQUA our home for the next 7 nights. We depart this evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and sail through the night. (B,D)
Day 3
RÜDESHEIM
We arrive in the bustling town of Rüdesheim by late morning and you will have the day here to explore at leisure. Be sure to visit the narrow cobblestoned lane the Drosselgasse where you will find many shops and bier taverns in half-timbered medieval buildings. Optional visit to the nearby vineyards including tastings. We depart Rüdesheim in the early evening and sail through the night. (B,L,D)
Day 4
GERMERSHEIM (SPEYER)
Germersheim in the Upper Rhine is around 20km from the city of Speyer which is over 2000 years old. It is Germany's oldest planned medieval town and its most prominent monument is its cathedral which is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Transport from the ship to Speyer and back to the ship is included, giving you lots of time to explore. (B,L,D)
Day 5
BREISACH
After a relaxing morning cruising along the Rhine we arrive into the little town of Breisach in the afternoon. It is perched on a steep cliff and its main landmark is the cathedral, M?nster Sankt Stephan, set high above the town on a hill. Perhaps take an optional visit to a local champagne seller, including tastings. The ship is moored here until just before midnight when we set sail through the night. (B,L,D)
Day 6
BASEL
This morning we arrive into Basel, the 'Gateway to Switzerland', a city many only pass through but we have the day to explore here. The city where historical buildings sit next to modern architecture is home to Switzerland's oldest university, 40 museums, a medieval old town and large market square. (B,L,D)
Day 7
STRASBOURG
Today your Rhine cruise will call at Strasbourg - a centre of European policymaking. Here you will find medieval half-timbered houses and elegant palaces as well as the Gothic Cathedral de Notre Dame which boasts a viewing platform 66 metres high offering spectacular views over the rooftops to the Vosges and the Black Forest. Day 8
MAINZ, MIDDLE RHINE VALLEY & KOBLENZ
Explore Mainz this morning where you will find an Old Town with half-timbered houses and medieval market squares. The famous Gutenberg Museum (celebrating the inventor of the printing press) is well worth a visit too. The A-ROSA Destination scout is on hold to give you tips to help you get the most from your day. We then sail through the picturesque Lorelei Valley and the UNESCO World Heritage Site Middle Rhine Valley before arriving in Koblenz by early evening. Enjoy and included walking tour of the old town with an English-speaking guide and a speciality dinner on board in the evening. Sail through the night back to Cologne. (B,L,D)

FROM COLOGNE
After disembarking we travel to Calais for the return sea crossing and complete the journey home. (B)
