Dedicated to conserving, displaying and interpreting stories of the most devastating conflict in human history, IWM London is the first museum in the world to house Second World War Galleries and The Holocaust Galleries under the same roof. These new galleries will change the way we understand the past for generations to come. Spanning two floors, these vast new galleries bring together the stories of real people from diverse communities to examine the complex relationship between the Holocaust and the course and consequences of the Second World War.

Churchills War Rooms

Housing the underground nerve centre where the British government directed the Second World War and the award-winning Churchill Museum, Churchill War Rooms is one of London’s must-see attractions where you can walk the top-secret corridors of Churchill War Rooms and glimpse what life would have been like during the tense days and nights of the Second World War.

HMS Belfast

Built in the Harland & Wolff shipyard in Belfast and launced on St Patricks day, HMS Belfast is the most significant surviving Second World War Royal Navy warship. Since her launch over 80 years ago, she fired some of the first shots at the D-Day landings, served in the Arctic Convoys, and in the Korean War and now serves as a floating museum close to the iconic Tower Bridge

Day 1

We depart locally and travel to London arriving at our hotel, The Hilton London Metropole for a late afternoon check in. The remainder of the day is at leisure in London.

Day 2

After breakfast, we make our way to the Churchill War rooms in time for our pre-booked visit. Later we make our way to the HMS Belfast museum again in time for our pre-booked visit.

Day 3

After breakfast we may load the luggage onto the coach (or leave with Concierge). This morning, we make our way to the Imperial War Museum.
This afternoon the coach will return to a pre determined point (Usually the hotel, but your driver will advise you on the day) for the return to South Wales arriving back in Cardiff West Services during the evening.
