For bright lights, dancing fountains and a festive fayre, our new tour ticks all the boxes as we visit AGLOW at Auckland Palace and enjoy a visit to the Bowes Museum with an included festive lunch.

DAY 1

TO NEWTON AYCLIFFE
We make our way directly to Newton Aycliffe arriving at our hotel for a late afternoon check in with tea/coffee on arrival. Settle in before sitting down to dinner. (D)


DAY 2

DURHAM & AGLOW AT AUCKLAND PALACE
This morning we visit charming Durham with free time to explore before making our way to Auckland Palace to explore the 'Palace at Christmas'. Have an included festive hot drink and mince pie in the Spanish Galleries before enjoying AGLOW, one of the biggest light trails in the North East including a tunnel of lights and 22 large scale light displays. DAY 3

BARNARD CASTLE & BOWES MUSEUM
This morning we will visit the market town of Barnard Castle for free time before making our way to the Bowes Museum. On arrival enjoy a 2 course festive lunch before having free time to explore the museum and parkland. (B, L, D)

DAY 4

TO SOUTH WALES
After a leisurely breakfast we make our way back home to South Wales.
