Depart South Wales travelling to Pembroke for the sailing to Rosslare and our overnight half board accommodation in the County Wicklow area
Day 2
After breakfast we make our way to Dublin for a guided tour of the vibrant capital city, showcasing a whole host of landmarks along the way. We then continue our journey, arriving at our hotel in Derry by late afternoon. We stay here for the next three nights
Day 3
Today, we enjoy a scenic drive on a guided tour around the rugged Inishowen Peninsula to Malin Head, the northernmost point in Ireland. On returning to Derry, set on the banks of the River Foyle, we take a walking tour of the city, the only completely walled city in Ireland
Day 4
A highlight of the tour this morning as we visit the iconic Giant's Causeway, a unique UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here 40,000 symmetrical columns rise dramatically from the sea, a truly spectacular sight. After time to enjoy the Giant's Causeway Visitor Experience, we head back to Londonderry, Derry, Doire or even 'Legenderry' as it has been renamed in recent marketing campaigns in recognition of its importance as a centre of culture and creativity.
Day 5
We depart Derry this morning and visit the Ulster American Folk Park en route to Co. Wicklow. Here you'll experience the epic story of Ireland's emigration from the thatched cottages of Ulster, on board a full-scale emigrant sailing ship to the log cabins of the American Frontier - all brought to life through enactments. We continue to our final overnight stay in Co. Wicklow arriving in time for dinner.
