EXCURSIONS
Blenheim Palace
Just a few miles north of Oxford is Blenheim Palace, a world heritage site, home of the Duke of Marlborough and birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill. The main attraction is the palace itself and the grounds and gardens are truly impressive too. A State-of-the-art visitor experience is open in the heart of the palace called Blenheim Palace: the Untold Story, 300 years of exciting tales at Blenheim Palace are brought to life through animatronic figures and innovative film and projection technology, seen through the eyes of the servants.
Salisbury
Known as the city in the countryside, Salisbury is surrounded by a landscape so quintessentially English its almost too good to be true. If you pause on the edge of the water-meadows to take in the awesome sight of the Cathedral rising up from these lush green fields, its easy to understand why Salisbury was named as one of the worlds Top 10 Cities to visit in 2015 by Lonely Planet. With timbered buildings, an early English Gothic Cathedral home to the famous Magna Carta, a thriving market, a buzzing arts scene, museums and some of Englands finest historic houses there are many things for you waiting to be explored.
