This wonderful new tour is based in the charming resort of Kirchberg in Tirol from where we cross over into Germany for a visit to Berchtesgaden and Eagles Nest, as well as enjoying excursions to historic Salzburg and the beautiful lakeshore resort of Zell am See.

Following the Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)
Day 2
OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO KIRCHBERG IN TIROL
We complete the journey to our resort where we stay for the next five nights. (B, D)
Day 3
SALZBURG
We spend today in the regional capital of Salzburgerland and the home of 'The Sound of Music', Salzburg. The old town is a maze of charming pedestrian alleyways with many famous and historic sites. To enable us to get our bearings we enjoy a 2 hour guided walking tour before exploring the city at leisure. (B, D)

FREE DAY
Enjoy a day to relax in Kirchberg in Tirol. (B, D)
Day 5
BERCHTESGADEN & EAGLES NEST
This morning we travel to the mountain resort of Berchtesgaden and visit the location of Hitler's Eagles Nest, perched 6000ft high on top of the Obersalzberg Mountain. Since 1952 the building has been open to the public as a mountain tope restaurant offering the most spectacular views. (B, D)
Please note: due to its unusually high elevation, the Eagles Nest is only accessible by special mountain buses, depending on weather conditions.
Day 6
ZELL AM SEE
Today we enjoy an excursion to the delightful resort of Zell am See, nestling on the lakeshore and surrounded by mountains. We include a relaxing cruise on the lake to take in the whole panorama from the lake and the rest of the day is free to explore the pretty town at leisure. (B, D)
Day 7
KIRCHBERG IN TIROL TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B, D)
Day 8
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
