Following the Channel crossing we continue to our overnight half board accommodation.
After breakfast we complete the journey and check in to our second overnight hotel with half board accommodation.
We continue our journey to Budapest to meet our tour guide and check into our hotel for dinner.
Today we continue your adventure into Eastern Europe to beautiful Timisoara also known as “Little Vienna”. It’s famed for being a city of flowers, parks and roses. In the afternoon enjoy a walking tour within the city walls and discover its three main squares, Victory, Liberty and Union. After some free time enjoy dinner at a local tavern in the city.
After breakfast a scenic drive will take you through the picturesque countryside and to the breath -taking mountain landscapes. Stop in Hunedoara to discover the Hunyadi Castle. The castle is said to have been the place where Vlad the Impaler was imprisoned for a while, and legends about ghosts haunting it still go around. After the tour we head to Sibiu - also known as Hermannstadt. Join your tour guide for a walk through this amazing city! Sibiu, listed by Forbes in top 10 most idyllic places to live in the whole world. The walk starts at the Grand Square where you will find the Catholic Church, the City Hall and the Brukenthal Palace, it continues with Liar’s Bridge, the Small Square and Huet Square. Dinner will take place at a local restaurant with Romanian Specialties!
You will have some time for a stroll through Sibiu before we continue for a well deserved break at the Brukenthal Palace in Avrig and enjoy coffee and cake. Today´s highlight is a visit to Bran and the famous Dracula’s castle. Built in the 14th century, the castle houses a museum dedicated to Queen Marie of Romania. Enjoy the panoramic view from its rooftop looking into Transylvania and hear the truth about Dracula. Transfer to Brasov. Dinner at the hotel.
Enjoy a walking tour in Brasov, also called the „Crown of Transylvania”. Discover the beautiful colourful old town with the Council Square and the Black Church, the largest gothic church between Vienna and Istanbul. Transfer to Sighisoara, the birth place of count Dracula. Sighisoara was settled by the Germans in the 13th century and it is one of the still inhabited medieval fortresses in the whole world, being also protected by the UNESCO. During the walking tour you will see the Clock Tower and the birth house of Dracula’s vampire and you will visit the Church on the Hill. Scenic drive to Cluj Napoca. Dinner at the hotel.
This morning enjoy a walking tour in the Old Town of Cluj Napoca and discover its landmarks, Michael’s Church, built in the 14th century in a gothic style. See also the statue of Matthias Corvinus, the King of Hungary. Continue to Debrecen, which is the second largest city in Hungary. Debrecen is the city of a flourishing bath culture and a distinctive health centre as well. Continue to Budapest, check into our hotel for dinner.
Your city guide will show you secrets of this impressive city, split into two by the River Danube. Buda, lying on the hills is home to the impressive Fishermen’s Bastion (entrance included), the “Citadel” and the Heroes’ Square. Budapest has many cobbled streets and shopping lanes, the famous Opera House and the Parliament. This evening enjoy a typical Hungarian Czardas Folklore evening including a traditional dinner and Gypsy music.
Sadly its time to bid farewell to Budapest and make our way to our overnight stop for half board accommodation.

Continue to Calais and complete the journey home.
