Chateaux of the Loire Valley

Day 1

TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following the Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (D)

Day 2

OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO AMBOISE
We complete the journey to our resort where we stay for the next four nights. (B, D)

Day 3

TOURS & CHÂTEAU DU RIVEAU
This morning we travel to the nearby town of Tours, capital of the region with free time to explore the impressive old town with tree-lined streets and half-timbered houses. We then make our way to the Château du Rivau where we enjoy an included lunch before exploring the chateau and the wonderful gardens at leisure. Finally there will be a wine tasting of three wines before we return to the hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 4

AMBOISE
Enjoy a day at leisure in Amboise today. Explore the charming town and marvel at the Troglodyte cave dwellings that have been turned into houses and wine cellars. (B, D)

Day 5

RIVER CHER CRUISE & CHÂTEAU DE CHENONCEAU
We make our way to Chisseaux this morning and join a relaxing River Cher circular cruise where you can admire the flora and fauna and the surrounding vineyards. From the water you will get a spectacular view of Château de Chenonceau which enjoys a dramatic position spanning the River Cher. Here we will visit the château and gardens before returning back to our hotel. (B, D)

Day 6

AMBOISE TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation. (B, D)

Day 7

FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home. (B)
