Excursion 1

WELSH HIGHLAND RAILWAY & PORTMEIRION
We board the Welsh Highland Railway for a 25 mile scenic journey from Caernarfon, climbing from sea level to over 650ft on the foothills of Snowdon, before zig-zagging dramatically down the steep hillside to Beddgelert. The train then journeys through the magnificent Aberglaslyn Pass on to Porthmadog. From here we continue onto Portmeirion built on a private peninsula on the coast of Snowdonia.

BODNANT GARDENS & LLANDUDNO
Today we travel to world famous Bodnant Gardens, noted for its botanical collections, offering glorious displays of colour. Here you can marvel at plants from all over the world from seed and cuttings collected over a century ago on plant hunting expeditions. We continue to Llandudno, one of Britain's finest Victorian seaside resorts.
