During the Second World War thousands of sites across Britain were requisitioned to support the war efforts. Our fascinating new tour includes an entertaining and informative talk by an expert from the Buckinghamshire Archives as well as visits to Bletchley Park and Hughenden Manor which played a significant role in shaping the outcome of the war.

Secret Sites Talk

After dinner enjoy listen to thrilling stories of refugees, evacuees and life on the home front living with industrial espionage and rationing. The expert from Buckinghamshire Archives will show photos, letters and diaries from the centre's archive collection which will bring these tales to life. After the talk there is the opportunity for questions.

Bletchley Park

We visit Bletchley Park where you will have the opportunity to see one of the Enigma Machines, a highlight of the visit for many. There is also time to wander around the wartime huts, visit the wartime mini cinema and view an outstanding Churchill collection.

Amersham

Visit to Amersham Museum where we will learn more about the role the town played during World War II as many people migrated here from danger in London and Europe. We'll also visit Hughenden Manor which was home to a map-making operation in the Second World War, so secret it only came to light 60 years later.
