Day 1
Following the Channel crossing we continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation.
Day 2
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO LEYSIN
We complete the journey to our resort and enjoy a welcome aperitif on arrival, followed by dinner.
Day 3
VEVEY & MONTREUX
We make our way to Vevey which holds its weekly market on Tuesdays giving you the opportunity to browse the stalls and enjoy lunch before we board a scenic paddle steamer cruise to the elegant town of Montreux. Freddie Mercury was a former resident of the town and it is also famous for its annual jazz festival.
Day 4
A day at leisure in Leysin.
Day 5
CHOCOLATE & CHEESE!
This morning we depart on a scenic drive across the Col de Mosses to the village of Gruyères. Here we will discover how the famous cheese is made with a demonstration at La Maison du Gruyère. After some time in the village we make our way to Broc, home of the Cailler-Nestlé chocolate factory where we’ll find out about the chocolates made here, as well as enjoying a tasting.
Day 6
GLACIER 3000 & BELLE EPOQUE TRAIN
Today we head to Col du Pilon to embark on a cable car journey to Scex Rouge, known as Glacier 3000. You will be rewarded with a stunning panorama of no fewer than 24 snow-capped 4000m giants including the Eiger, Matterhorn and even Mont Blanc in the distance. After time to take in the views we descend and make our way to Gstaad where we board the beautiful Belle Epoque train for the journey back to Lake Geneva, whilst enjoying a glass of local wine.
Day 7
LEYSIN TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation.
Day 8
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home.
