Little Trains of The Tyrol
Enjoy our wonderful new tour to the Austrian Tyrol, a region of delightful villages, glacial lakes and imposing mountains, all waiting to be discovered from the comfort of a charming steam train. We’ll also see spectacular Krimml Falls and visit Tratzberg Castle.

Day 1
TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following our Channel crossing to Calais we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation.
Day 2
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO KIRCHBERG IN TYROL
We complete the journey to Kirchberg in Tyrol where we stay for the next five nights.
Day 3
ZILLERTALBAHN & TRATZBERG CASTLE
We make our way to Jenbach from where we travel on board the Zillertalbahn to the lively resort of Mayrhofen, a 32km journey passing mountainous peaks. After some free time at leisure we make our way to Tratzberg Castle where we have a guided tour and included return travel on the Little Train ‘Tratzberg Express’.
Day 4
FREE DAY
Enjoy a day at leisure to relax in resort.
Day 5
LAKE ACHENSEE RAILWAY & BOAT CRUISE
This morning we journey from Jenbach to Seespitz on the Achenseebahn, Europe’s oldest cog railway and which is still steam operated today. After disembarking it’s just a short journey to Pertisau where we can enjoy some free time before relaxing on a lake cruise to the northern shores of Lake Achen.
Day 6
PINZGAUER LOKALBAHN & KRIMML FALLS
Our excursion today takes us to the charming resort of Zell am See where we have free time to explore before embarking on a scenic railway journey on the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn through the Pinzgau Mountains and Salzach Valley to Krimml. From here we continue to the spectacular Krimml Falls, Austria’s highest waterfall.
Day 7
KIRCHBERG IN TYROL TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart our hotel and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation.
Day 8
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home.
