Day 1

We travel to Fishguard/Pembroke for our ferry crossing to Rosslare and continue on to Co. Wicklow where we stay overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. (D)

Day 2

After breakfast continue our journey to Northern Ireland, calling in at the coastal town of Bray en route before reaching our mainstay hotel for the next 4 nights. (B, D)

Day 3

We start our day with a visit to impressive Castle Ward, famed for its dual architecture. One side of the building features a classical Palladian style and the other a Gothic theme. The grounds here are just as grand with wonderful wildlife and scenery for you to spot. In the afternoon we visit another of Northern Ireland's fine properties, Mount Stewart and enjoy a guided house tour to admire the lavish interiors, as well as time to wander around the world class landscaped gardens, voted among the top ten gardens in the world. Day 4

We spend this morning exploring St Patrick's country with a guided tour. Starting at the Saint Patrick Centre, an exhibition detailing the life of the patron saint of Ireland, we'll also visit Down Cathedral and Saint Patrick's grave. From here we follow in the footsteps of royalty with a guided tour of Northern Ireland's royal residence, Hillsborough Castle. As we move through the stunning State Rooms we learn about the history of this elegant Georgian home before admiring the 100 acres of beautiful gardens. (B,D)

Day 5

Our visit this morning is to the extraordinary Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you will see the world famous basalt columns set against a backdrop of the dramatic cliffs. For those less mobile there is a shuttle bus (extra charge applies) to take you down to the stones. Later we visit one of Northern Ireland's oldest and most beautiful estates, Glenarm Castle which enjoys a fantastic setting by the sea and admire its breath-taking walled garden. (B,D)

Day 6

We depart this morning and make our way to our final overnight stay in Co. Wicklow arriving in time for dinner. (B,D)

Day 7

We depart the hotel early for our return sailing to Pembroke, before continuing our journey home. (B)
