Day 1
TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Following the Channel crossing to Calais, we complete the journey to our overnight dinner, bed & breakfast accommodation.
Day 2
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL TO WROCLAW
We complete the journey to Wroclaw where we stay overnight on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Day 3
WROCLAW TO KRAKÓW
This morning we enjoy a half day guided tour of Wroclaw where you will see its Market Square lined with elegant townhouses and Gothic Town Hall before taking a cruise on the Odra River. Later we continue our journey to Kraków where we stay for the next two nights. Dinner this evening is taken in a local restaurant in Kraków Old Town.
Day 4
KRAKÓW & AUSCHWITZ-BIRKENAU
Take a half day guided city tour of Kraków including entrance to St Mary’s Basilica and Wawel Cathedral, two of the city’s famous sights. In the afternoon we make a poignant visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum, the infamous German Nazi concentration and extermination camp. Dinner will be taken at our hotel this evening
Day 5
WARSAW
Departing Krákow this morning we arrive into Warsaw, capital of Poland. It stands on the Vistula River and its Old Town is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. We’ll enjoy a half day tour of the city before checking into our hotel where we enjoy dinner this evening.
Day 6
WARSAW TO GDANSK
On our journey from Warsaw we will visit the castle of the Teutonic Order in Malbork, a 13th century fortified monastery. We arrive in Gdansk later this afternoon and stay here for the next two nights, with dinner this evening in a local restaurant.
Day 7
GDANSK TO GDYNIA AND SOPOT
Enjoy a full day guided tour of Gdansk today including entrance to St Mary’s Church and the Oliwa Cathedral where you may be lucky enough to hear a wonderful organ concert during the summer months. Later we make our way to Gdynia where we participate in an amber workshop - it’s famous in this part of Poland. Finally in the city of Sopot you can stroll along the longest pier in Poland, stretching some 511 meters into the Baltic Sea.
Day 8
GDANSK TO BERLIN
We travel across Poland and into Germany to Berlin where we stay overnight on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis.
Day 9
BERLIN TO OVERNIGHT HOTEL
We depart Berlin and continue to our overnight dinner, bed and breakfast accommodation.
Day 10
FROM OVERNIGHT HOTEL
Continue to Calais and complete the journey home.
