Poland is now one of the major destinations for travellers and its beauty can be admired in both its old cities and the wild scenery of its national parks. Our two centre tour features the a taste of both visiting the beautiful city of Krakow and the alpine resort of Zakopane, situated at the foot of the Tatras with its inspiring landscape of majestic peaks towering 6.000 feet into the clouds along with, gushing waterfalls, snow-covered hills, completely placid lakes, and a wild animal population that includes bears, lynx and soaring golden eagles.

We continue into Poland arriving at the Vienna House Easy Chopin with time to relax before dinner.
Today we have guided walking of Krakow, we visit the Royal Castle of Wawel overlooking the Vistula River, admire the tombs of the kings and poets in the cathedral, a remarkable building which serves as local pantheon. We continue to the vast market square surrounded by elegant residences and the famous Cloth Hall. We finish our tour in the touching Jewish quarter Kazimierz, where scenes of the movie “Schindler’s List” were filmed and where you will visit the Remuh synagogue.
This morning we travel to the ‘Wieliczka’ Salt Mine, one of the most precious and fascinating Polish monuments and a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour starts with a descent down the stairs to a depth of 64 metres then the underground trail leads through numerous drifts, galleries, chambers, underground lakes, shrines and salt monuments. The trip finishes 135 metres underground and visitors return to the surface by lift. Remainder of the day at leisure in the city.
We depart Krakow and travel to Auschwitz where we visit the former concentration camp Auschwitz- Birkenau, a memorial and place full of memories of the atrocities by the Nazi regime. We then continue to the beautiful summer and winter resort of Zakopane
Today we enjoy a guided tour of the Dunajec valley. We visit the Niedzica castle, a former Hungarian stronghold, before we enjoy a two-hour cruise on the Dunajec River, which winds through an ancient mountain gorge. Boatmen dressed in regional costume guide the wooden canoe rafts giving information on the history along with local anecdotes. Lunch is included at the cosy castle restaurant before returning to Zakopane to enjoy dinner and a typical traditional Folklore evening

Depart after breakfast for the overnight half board accommodation in Cottbus.
Continue the journey to our overnight bed & breakfast accommodation.
Travel to Calais and complete the journey home.
