MS Seine Princess
Built in 2002 and refurbished in 2010 this luxury vessel boasts 67 cabins with a capacity for 138
passengers. The boats public and social areas are warm and welcoming with LED lighting, thick and luxurious carpets and sumptuous materials. The cabins are more spacious featuring impressive floor to ceiling picture windows providing astonishing panoramic views as the ship cruises. The ship has a lounge- bar and dance floor, dining room and a large sun deck with lounge chairs and gift shop. The entire ship has heating, air-conditioning and Wi-Fi
There are 24 outside cabins on the upper deck and 43 outside cabins on the main deck. All stateroom cabins have large panoramic windows and feature converting twin beds, generous wardrobe space, hairdryer, climate control, modern and decorative bathroom designs with shower and bath products, flat screen television and radio, telephone, safe, extra under bed storage space for suitcases.
Following our Channel crossing we travel to Paris. Time to settle comfortably in your cabins between 6.00 and 7.00pm. Meet the crew during a welcome cocktail reception. We remain berthed in Paris overnight.
Following breakfast, this day will be entirely devoted to a tour of Paris, which will begin with an optional half day guided tour exploring the mythical places of the city, such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs Elysées. Following lunch on board enjoy an afternoon in Paris. Dependant on the water level, sit back and enjoy Paris by night as we sail past the famous landmarks of this beautiful city.
PARIS - LES ANDELYS or VERNON
We depart Paris early in this morning sailing past the futuristic La Défense district which will impress you with its concrete and glass architecture. This afternoon we make a stop in Poissy in readiness for our OPTIONAL excursion to the Versailles Château, which is among the most famous and prestigious monuments of world heritage and constitutes the most beautiful and most complete
work of French art of the 18th century. We rejoin the ship in Mantes la Jolie and continue our cruise to either Andelys or Vernon (depending on moorings available at the wharves) where we are berthed overnight.
LES ANDELYS OR VERNON - ROUEN
An early morning departure (depending on the tides) where we cruise through a landscape of broad limestone cliffs. Following lunch, we arrive in Rouen around 2.00pm, the former capital of Normandy. During the afternoon an OPTIONAL guided tour of the city is available on which you will discover, among other things, the cathedral, the historic neighbourhoods, and the “Place du Vieux Marché where Joan of Arc was burnt at the stake. We remain berthed in Rouen overnight.
ROUEN - DUCLAIR
An early morning departure as we sail through a magnificent landscape of steep cliffs, at the foot of which are a number of charming little villages typical of the region. Lunch is taken during the cruise before our arrival in Caudebec. An OPTIONAL guided tour on the Abbeys trail with the abbey of Saint-Wandrille. We travel via Jumièges where one of the most beautiful abbeys in France is to be found, as is the church of Saint Peter, which is one of the most beautiful examples of 10th century norman architecture. We return to the ship in time for dinner and the gala evening and set sail for Honfleur (Subject to tides).
Our arrival time into the port of Honfleur will be dependant on the tides. The morning will be devoted to the OPTIONAL guided tour of the town and its fishing port, its narrow picturesque streets and their old houses, the salt lofts, the church of Saint Catherine (15th - 16th century) which is the biggest church in France built of wood. We return back to the boat for lunch. This afternoon there will be an OPTIONAL excursion to the "Côte Fleurie" Stopping in Trouville and Deauville. Your tour includes a vist of a distillery where the famous Calvados is made. We remain berthed in Honfleur overnight.
We depart Honfleur this morning and travel to Calais to complete the journey back home.
